Intraoral procedures for the treatment of dental disease in pet rabbits represent a significant portion of therapeutics.
This 4-hour wet lab is aimed to review and teach a practical approach to intraoral dental procedures of pet rabbits.
Using cadavers, participants will simulate the following dental procedures and techniques:
- inspection of the oral cavity, with and without the use of a rigid endoscope;
- flushing of the nasolacrimal duct
- coronal reduction of cheek teeth;
- extraction of cheek teeth;
- extraction of incisor teeth;
Visual tutorials (photo series, videos) displaying the dental procedures have been included within the on demand part of this course, but will also be reviewed and available for participants during the lab.
