Q. Is the Dentistry and Orofacial Surgery of Exotic Companion Mammal course on site?
A. The course including the eight sessions will be held online only. The four practical labs will be held on site in Seattle on August 23-24, 2025.
Q. Is the online part of the Dentistry and Orofacial Surgery of Exotic Companion Mammal course a streaming course?
A. Yes, it is a streaming course. One can access the presentations anytime, within a limited period of time (May 1 - August 24, 2025).
Q. Can participants interact with speakers?
Q. Does the course include handouts?
A. Not directly, during the online part of the course. However, the on demand section includes a forum. The participants will certainly interact with the instructors during the practical lab, and can ask more questions.
Q. Can video lectures be downloaded?
A. This course does not include handouts. The breadth and the depth of topics would make handouts a full textbook. That is not ready at this stage, and is not meant to come with the registration fee. We suggest that the registrant would make his/her own handouts taking screenshots, and even copying part of the speech as notes.
Q. Does the online course grant continuing education credits?
A. No. Video lectures are under copyright. They can not be downloaded and saved.

A. The registration to the online on demand course only is NOT allowed with this format.
If you are interested in the online course (which is visual and exhaustive as well, but does not include practical labs) you should apply for the standard, anytime online course.
A. To share a single registration for two different vets is NOT allowed with this format. This course is meant to be a full program including online presentations and practical hands-on sessions.
A. Yes. The full course has been credited with 44 CE credits by the American Association of Veterinary State Boards.
Participants should check their country specific requirements and whether RACE approval is recognized. Usually, RACE approved credits are acknowledged in other countries.
A. To earn credits and get the certificate, registrants must correctly answer at least 80% of 25-30 multiple choice questions for each session (a total of 220 Q/A for the full course).

A. The registration to the practical labs only is NOT allowed with this format.
Q. In the past I had already attended the online course. Can I register for the practical labs only?
A. Unfortunately, due to a limited number of seats, we are unable to accomodate veterinarians who have previously attended the course. However, there is the option of being added to a waiting list in case a full registrant would unexpectedly be unable to attend the practical portion. Please be aware that if this occurs, the opening would likely be with short notice.
